  1. Hello everyone, I am having issues stitching a simple box running-stitch on my Brother Innov-is NV800. Some parts of the stitching on the box look perfect, some look as if there is a problem with the tension. And I just don't understand why. It appears as if the tension "changes" every time the needle goes around the corner. MY FIRST EXAMPLE Stitching starts in top-left corner. Starts good, then stitching turns ugly as direction changes, only to finish sewing the final vertical stitch fine. I digitized this with Ink/Stitch. MY SECOND EXAMPLE I digitized this with PE-De
  2. Hi everyone - I'm new to embroidery. I did some running-stitch tests on a piece of leather, and I noticed that every single time the bottom stitch comes out nicely, while the topstitch looks like one straight line. What can I do to improve the quality? In the attached picture, the very fist and last running stitches are the "top stitch". The center stitching was when I turned the leather upside down and sewn it - so what you're seeing is the bottom-stitch. Thanks for the help!
  3. Hi Everyone, I am looking for affordable software that will allow me to Digitize Running Stitches from designs I make in Adobe Illustrator. I did a litle bit of testing in Embrilliance StitchArtist, however a price tag of approx $500 USD turned me off. I read some threads here about cheaper software, but I wanted to hear your experienced perspective before I go ahead and download 10 Trials of every different software. All I will ever do are Running Stitches. I just want them to look pretty and have the ability to edit them. Best would be if I could convert existing images
  4. Okay, so upping the Tension all the way up to 5 solved the problem. Sorry for the spam everyone!
  5. Hi everyone, I have a Brother NV800 Embroidery machine. I've been doing some topstitch experiments and run into some issues. As you can see in the attached photo, the original test (outlined in blue) with a 100/2 Polyester thread looks good. But when I used a 30 Thickness Cotton embroidery thread, I'm getting these weird results (outlined in red). The stitch width for both examples is 2mm. I tried adjusting the sewing speed to minimum for cotton, and even adjusted the tension, to no avail. The machine's instructions say I can't use a thread of 20 or thicker. I'm using
