    Caution!

I am so sorry for you Mila, I know how you must be feeling. I had a hard drive die on me a few years ago and I lost loads of my children's baby photos. I would definitely contact wilcom support on their website and explain what happened. They may be able to shed some light on the situation. From past experience I now keep all my files on 3 usb flash drives as well as a copy on my laptop. Collecting designs and digitising designs takes a lot of time and effort. I would definitely recommend to make several copies in the future on separate devices. Again I am saddened you have had this problem. Keep your chin up they are only "Things" and can be replaced. All the best of luck. Dave.
  2. Thanks Linda. Keep up the good work. Dave
  3. Thank you so much for your lovely comments. It is really nice to hear what you are thinking of sewing the design on. I must admit I haven't sewn it out yet. Give it a practice run on a piece of material first, you can always turn the test piece into a bookmark or something. Please post a picture of your finished garment, that would be awesome. All the best Dave.

    Caution!

If you right click on one of your design files and select "open with" then find the run file for your preferred software this will be an EXE file. Before you click on accept be sure to click on the box to set the software file as "default". This is only one way to revert back to your software there are also others. Good luck. Dave
  5. The free file converter from wilcom True Sizer 4 will open any file format

  12. View File Batman Tough free embroidery design Batman free embroidery design. The design is 13cm x 10cm there abouts. Feel free to share this design. I have placed the original EMB design file for you to tinker with add names, resize. Lots of converting software will only allow you to resize a machine file 20% without messing the design up too much. With the EMB file you can resize it to any size. You could make it a full back design without detriment to the sew out. So Have fun Submitter Dave W Submitted 03/14/2020 Category Cartoon

  14. Pick a design you like that is not too complicated and pull it to bits to see how it was constructed. What colour is on top and the stitch length and the spacing between stitches. Don't get too frustrated learning. It should be fun. Of course don't forget practice, practice, practice you will get better. :-)
  15. The design you see on this website I digitised from royalty free Vector graphics. It doesn't surprise me that Somebody else has had the same idea. I used Hatch software.
  16. Thank you. I'm glad you like it. It took longer than I expected to make. I think it turned out OK though.
  17. There are 2 methods of installing fonts on your computer. The first is to right click on the ttf or otf font file and select install. This will install the font and place a copy of the file in the windows font folder. The second method is to copy and paste your font files into the windows font folder. This will also install the files. As for where to get fonts from do a Google, bing or Pinterest search for free fonts. fontbundles.net is a great place to find free ttf fonts that can be used in design software and of course word processors. Good luck with your search hope this helped a little. All the best. Dave
  18. Over the past six months or so I have been learning how to sew embroidery on garments and make patches. The designs I have been using have mostly been free from lovely people who upload them, for all of us for free. I have also been learning to digitise, so now it's my turn to give back to the lovely people of the embroidery Community. Nearly all the designs I have posted, I digitised from royalty free vector graphics with little changes hear and there and some of my own designs. I have uploaded these files for you to use as you please. I give them to you. If by any chance you make any money from my designs, well done that's what it's all about. All I ask is. Please think of giving a small donation of the money you make, to a charity of your choice. Sharing is caring. Thank you and have fun with the designs.:D

Yes, it is necessary to help others. This is what I do, because I know what difficult situations can arise completely unexpectedly. Last year, my embroidered  poster helped the medical staff to “reach out” to the hospital administration.  Now I plan to make  gifts for some patients. Among them, in the dialysis department there is a girl with autism who loves sharks. :D:D:D

One day I will make an album with photos of my work on the site of this wonderful community of embroidery fans and write how I managed to help the staff. )))

      Mila
