I downloaded this file and my Brother machine did not recognize it. Do you know why?

What embroidery machine you have? You check design and hoop size?

I have a Brother Dream Creator 5100. I was not even able to even see the icon on the screen to even select it. The file was on the stick, but it does not show up in the selection of what is on the stick, do you know what I mean. Hoop size, etc. has nothing to do with it. I couldn't even read the file at all. Any thoughts?
