The aerial photo shows the Uffington Horse, carved into a chalk hillside in England maybe 1000 years before the common era ["B.C."]. I love how abstract it is, as did writer Terry Pratchett. Can't find what he said about it offhand, but he says something like that it captures the essence of the animal. I like that the picture is ancient and evocative and that it is not attached to any modern meaning.
