Barudan VT series Pantograph problem

Been working on Barudan Embroidery machines for about 4 years. Never seen this problem. Problem with pantograph (VT series) is it can be shifted 1\4" by hand while powered on.

Any ideas to the problem before I tear apart the pantograph assembly?
