I am trying to add purchased fonts from embroidery websites to m PE Design Plus software. I want to be able to type in text using purchased font.

I think you can't download fonts to PE Design Plus, it works only with the fonts which are already installed to a program. But you can use every letter as a separate design and combine them on the screen. Check your manual. PE Design Next software does everything, PE Design Plus is very limited.
