Problem with Brother Innovis V3

Has anyone experience their Brother Innovis V3 missing stitches? I have designed my piece using eh PE11 Design software. The piece contains lots of words in different fonts and on at least two occasions now it has missed the stitches. How do I go back and finish these missed stitches? I'm new to machine embroidery so any help / advice will be gratefully received!
