siv1987
Help! I have read articles to use a steamer to remove Solvy. I tried last week and it was a mess. The steps I did were; Tear off most of Solvy Put steamer to garment It was not working well therefore I rubbed it and it became a mess I'm not sure what I did wrong. Thanks in advance for your help. Berez
The first couple of steps are correct, but after I use the steamer I place a paper towel over the wet Solvy. DO NOT RUB just gently press down then lift. This usually works for everything but the counters (the negative areas inside lettering). I usually leave those alone because the first time they wash the garment its gone. Quote Link to comment
Carol1950
Take several pieces of the scrap solvy you have torn off and roll into a ball about the size of a golf ball. Use the steamer to soften what remains and use the ball to blot push the ball into the heated area and pull straight up and away. All solvy including the areas inside the lettering will stick to the ball and lift off the garment. If it doesn't stick it probably needs more steam. Continue to heat and blot as necessary.
