Thread getting tangled around lower tension spring

I work in a small shop as an embroidery machine operator. We don’t have very much experience with when it comes to how to operate the machines. We had an issue where the thread on multiple heads on multiple needles gets tangled around the lower tension spring which then causes the needle to break ruining the garment that we are working on. We need help ASAP!
