lindav
I have been wanting to ask about getting a font with the knock down stitches attached to each letter so that when we write a name on fabric with a pile like towels or plush, that the knock down stitches will prevent them from disappearing into the fabric. I saw a photo and checked into it but the font did not include the knock down stitches . I listened to John Deer's video on Youtube about placing knock down stitches around the letters using Hatch 2, which I don't have. I also read that Hatch makes a font better than any other program, with perfect stitches, unlike my Embird which can be sloppy at times and leave gaps. So, with all the wonderful programs that you have, would you be able to create a font that has the knock down stitch attached to each letter? LINDA V Quote Link to comment
John0008
Sure! Creating an alphabet with knockdown stitches is a great idea for adding texture and dimension to your embroidery projects. Knockdown stitches are designed to "knock down" the fabric pile or other background elements, ensuring that your letters stand out clearly. To do this, you’d typically stitch a layer of knockdown stitches around your alphabet design before adding the final lettering. This technique helps in stabilizing the fabric and makes the letters more visible. If you need a step-by-step guide or have specific requirements, let me know, and I’d be happy to help further! LML
Has anyone found or created an alphabet file of knock down letters. I tried the suggestion to stitch around the letters , and it did not work too well on my towels. Eager to solve the problem for towels and blankets. Software does not have knock down feature to shadow the letters in a name. Daddy.pesDaddy.pes Quote Link to comment
