We propose to create unique bath towels using machine embroidery designs Nautical style. It will turn out to be an interesting option, which will also suit as a gift to friends and relatives.
Despite the fact that many embroiderers find embroidery on terry cloth a time consuming and not rewarding process, it is not so complicated. Just terry cloth, like any other, has its own characteristics. Due to the fact that it is a fleecy fabric, it will be necessary to observe that the stitches of the embroidery do not get lost in the pile of the fabric.
Now we will tell how to prevent this and embroider a series of bath towels in marine style on terry cloth.
So, for this you need:
- Terry towel
- Machine Embroidery Design Shell or other machine embroidery designs for embroidery machines
- Cut off stabilizer and glue spray temporary fixation
- Dense water soluble stabilizer
Wash a towel before applying embroidery. Then cut from the roll the required amount of medium density cutting off stabilizer. Using temporary glue, glue the fabric to the stabilizer. Remember that glue is sprayed onto the stabilizer, not onto the fabric itself. Wait a few seconds and thread the fabric along with the stabilizer into the hoop. Check that you tightly clamped the screw. Set the embroidery frame in the embroidery machine so that the needle is exactly in the place where the embroidery will be.
Embroider the design and crucify the fabric. Cut off the excess stabilizer and remove the top water-soluble film. If microparticles of a water-soluble stabilizer remain, wet the towel to get rid of them.
Tip: You can use Madeira Easy Aqua Supreme Topping instead of a water-soluble stabilizer. It is designed to embroider on fleecy types of fabric and is a medium-density film that is glued to the fabric with a hot iron.
