For five and a half years I enjoyed using my first sewing and embroidery machine, PFAFF Creative 1.5. During all this time there were no any problems. Then disaster struck: it broke in the middle of a big project. It was embroidered quilt for wedding gift. 

I did not have time to complete the work on time as the repair would have taken more than 2 weeks. I was offered to buy a new PFAFF Creative Ambitions 640 machine and sell my old one. It worked for exactly a month and I was forced to send it for repairs. A month later it happened again. They replaced it with a new one of the same model. Not only does it have to be repaired every 4-5 months, it makes a grinding noise like the gates of hell. Now machine embroidery causes irritation instead of positive emotions.

I miss my trouble-free, reliable, silent-running PFAFF Creative 1.5 so much!

The 640 is nothing like the Creative 1.5 which I exchanged to get the top of the line Pfaff Creative Icon 2.  I have yet to hear genuine positive comments about the Ambition 640 which was a hasty replacement of the 1.5.
