e4.5 crashes when trying to open certain files 11/20/2025

can anyone help me?

has anyone had a problem like this?

e4.5 crashes when trying to open just certain files

the files in question were created in house some a year ago & some a few years old

**i also know that the files are NOT CORRPUT & it's a program issue not a file issue**

i've done multiple software "repairs" for both wilcom & coreldraw with no help

i even uninstalled both programs hoping it would wipe out the "glitch" with no luck either

i feel that there are a few program files that don't fully get removed on the uninstall which leads me to believe i'm not getting a brand new install

(my reasoning is i had another brand of digitizing software that left behind 2 files in the system 32 folder that needed to be hand deleted after uninstallation to allow for a true brand new install)

it seems like it gets hung up & crashes when it gets to the point of making the connection to coreldraw

wilcom support was NO HELP

i asked wilcom support to please open the file, copy just the digitized parts (not the vector art part) & paste it into a new file then save with a new name to break the link with coreldraw to see if that fixed the problem but never did

i can send one of the files in question to anyone who would like to open the file & copy/paste
