If the thread is frayed and bunching up on only one needle, you may have a bur on the needle and it should be replaced.  If it's happening on all your needles, it may be your tail is too short and you need to adjust your machine settings.  On the Neo II, select Machine Settings, then down to Trim Length.  Use the left/right arrow to change the number.
