lone
Has anyone embroidered umbrellas. I read something in the past where you can stitch the edges of the umbrella. Is there specific techniques? or sprays to seal off the holes where stitched? 1 Quote Link to comment
Shellie
Hi! I stitched my first umbrella at Christmas this year. I just backed it with tear away & hooped and sewed it. It looked fine. I told the customer that where it was stitched would leak. I have not heard any complaints. 1 Quote Link to comment
ramages
You can water-proof your embroidery by several types of sealants if you want to make the umbrella water-proof again or the next time you do one. Seam Seal products is for camping and tent repair/waterproofing. You can find it at camping and sports stores and I think Walmart may carry it as well but you??? d have to check on that one. 1 Quote Link to comment
diver361
This is a complicated process, I think it is better to use an embroidered patch. Then you can sew it anywhere you want. But it is difficult to embroider on such fabric. Tono shouldn't use dense, multicolored embroidery designs. 1 Quote Link to comment
