My personal tips for cotton fabric. Stretch the material well. I do this: if the material is very thin, I insert and pull only the stabilizer into the hoop, and pin the material from the edges with pins on the edges, also pulling it, and still reduce the speed. I don’t insert the stabilizer on top, material can collect under it, if there is also a stabilizer below, there is too much glue from two layers, although it is washed off, it still clogs between the threads. I tension the upper thread automatically when embroidering about 3. In your case - pull the cotton well in the hoop and at the bottom one layer of stabilizer, the main thing is that the material is well stretched. In general, sometimes I embroider directly on the material, without a stabilizer.
