LindaLV 61 October 23, 2022 Share this review This is very well constructed, I like the eyes that are so easily seen for a small view. This is displayed in the Eastern Orthodox Church. It is The Mother of God, Mary, who is holding a veil. The letters over her shoulders tell she is the Mother of God. It is a shortening of the words. During fighting with barbarians in the middle ages, She appeared to a group of people taking refuge in a church, and spread her veil over them and saved them from the barbarians. The miracle was spread and an icon was created to remember the event. It is permitted to make and embroidery of her and use it like an icon. It should be treat with respect and be given a special place. Not to be put on clothes. Perhaps framed and placed in a special place. Link to review
