Any way to know how much thread will be used? PE-DESIGN 11

Is there a way to know how much thread there will be used, preferrable in meters in PE-DESIGN 11? 
Or can I calculate this somehow?

There is NOT a way to do this in PE-Design 11.  What you can do though, is get the free Embroidery tool shed software and install it.  This is not from Brother.  Once the software is installed, open the design, then click file, click design analysis, click color.  It will give you a list of every color in your design, and how much of each thread will be used.

It's very useful. It will also let you do some other stuff that either can't be done with PE-Design 11, or is just easier.  I use the PE-Design software myself, and I like it.  I do wish though they'd come out with a new version.  Version 11 has been out for "a while" now....  Hope it helps.
