I'm a beginner with a new machine and have questions. Is there anyone with a Brother SE600 that can help me out?

I started a design and idk what I did but the machine is starting from the beginning again. Is there a way to skip steps?

All embroidery machines have the ability to select the point from which to start the embroidery process. You can skip whole colors or select a specific stitch number.Brother se 600 embroidery machine skip colors

HI all , I have a brothers se600 and  I love it. I have a question that I can not get the answer from in the manual. I am embroidering a napkin with a script letter L  and normal lettering for the next 2 lines. Can I combine the script Lettering and the plain  lettering into one pattern ? Here is what it will look like . The letter L is about 3 inches. high and scripted.
