I am trying to get mitered corners for my applique and every time i try, it keeps it at a swiped corner. What am i doing wrong?

I?ve found that when you create an outline automatically as you do with the applique and for general fills, you cannot do this without separating the line, or in the case of tha applique...creating a separate object. This will give you the control that you need to change the node properties on the corners.
