How right delete object in design

I?ve created several objects (dragged and dropped motifs) and I?d like to delete one or more of them. Don?t seem to be able to select just one, just the entire block.

    The objects may be branched together. Locate it on your Object Manager list and see if they?re all connected with the plus sign. Depending on your level, you may be able to disconnect the object so then you can delete individual objects. That disconnect option would be on the More tab of your Object Inspector.

    All the objects appear under the Section "+" sign. Does not appear that the object can be disconnected.
    In addition, objects can no longer be individually selected. The option seemed to work much better in the version 8 of the software.
