FONT SETTINGS – SHAPE OFFSET We have added a new function for applying an offset to segments when they are being used in a font. The setting is added to the segment when creating a character in the Font Editor. With a letter open in the Font Editor, you will see a new setting in the segment properties named Font Settings – Shape Offset Distance. This setting is only available when creating a font in the Maestro level. Shape Offset Settings Instead of applying the offset at the time of creating the font, the offset will be applied when the lettering is used. The advantage to this feature is that the offset will be applied after any width or spacing adjustments that are applied to the lettering, keeping the offset consistent after compression or a width adjustment to the lettering has been applied. This is useful for creating applique or laser applique fonts where the placement of the running or laser segments is crucial. Offset Applied When Creating Text PRESSER FOOT SETTINGS Newer Tajima embroidery machine models such as the TMAR include the ability to control the height of the Presser Foot. Presser Foot settings can be assigned to selected segments when creating designs in DG/ML. These settings can be found under the Commands section of segment settings. Presser Foot Settings TRIM / LOCK STITCH INSIDE CHARACTERS The following settings have been added to Text segments: Inside Trim Type, Inside Trim Threshold, Inside Trim Locks, Inside Lock Stitch Type, Inside Lock Stitch Length. Inside Trim/Lock Settings USER INTERFACE Stitch Length Beads Stitch length beads now work with other drop run settings. Icons A problem has been corrected where tool icons were incorrectly labeled. Japanese TTF Support Improvements have been made when reading Japanese TrueType Fonts. GENERAL Stability Stability improvements have been made in generating stitches. STITCH GENERATION Close Fractal Setting A new setting has been added to automatically close a fractal shape in a Fractal Fill segment. Satin Stitch Generation Improvements Stitch generation improvements were made in branched satin stitches. Automatic Overlap Stitch Generation Improvements The speed of generating segments with Automatic Overlap enabled has been improved. Design Start/Stop An issue has been addressed in a specific design that causes the start and stop point of the design to move when opened in DG/ML. Applique Improvements have been made in the generation of applique stitches. Lock Stitches Improvements have been made in the generation of lock stitches. Underlay Changes have been made to prevent underlay stitches from traveling outside of the shape INPUT / OUTPUT / MACHINE FORMATS ZSK Format An extra normal stitch at the beginning of the design when saving designs in the Z00 format has been eliminated. Additional Home Formats Support for Brother PES7, PES8, and PES9 has been added. Floppy disk support Improvements made on saving to floppy disks. Spooler Improvements You can now send designs to the machine without having to save them first. A problem has been corrected where the Machine Filter would not allow the viewing of selected machines. Data collection and Reporting An issue writing machine log data for reporting has been addressed. Support for Sali Rhinestone Machines The GEM option now supports the writing of SHF files that are required for Sali Rhinestone Machines. How to install a new font in Tajima DG/ML by Pulse v14: 1. Select Tools > Manage > Fonts. 2. In the Font Manager dialog, click Import. 3.
