I'm using some embroidery online store and have a nice patch designed. I've spent quite some time on it, but I can't seem to figure out how to get rid of these darn jump stitches between the letters in the outer border. I can't find any information about removing jump stitches on embroidery library and I'm wondering if anyone knows a quick tip to get the software to insert a "trim" or "cut" or whatever command needs to be put between letters to cut the thread on the underside and start over on the next letter. thanks!

Hello, I'm going for advice. I embroider picture size approx A5 in beige, brown and white colors. It takes me a long time (I have been embroidering it for 2 years). Today I pulled it out of the drawer for half a year and at the places where I hold a circle with embroidery the fabric starts to turn yellow and I don't know what to do with it. :-( Will it be gently washed? (I haven't even finished it yet).

I've got a Tajima TEHX-C1501 and just started experimenting with 3D Puff and can not for the life of me figure out how to put a machine stop in the design. I need the machine to stop between the outline and the fill and then pick up on the fill stitch when I hit start. Currently I've got to watch the design and hit stop when it goes to color change and that's just a waste of time. I also have a Barudan BEXY if anyone knows how to do the same thing there. Thank You!

Can anybody help me sort this out once and for all. Whenever I attempt to do a large design with dense stitching I get this ruffling/puckering of the embroidered area. I have tried different backing, different tentions, different densities of stitches, different speeds of the machine but all to no avail. It just has this wavey type effect whach throws off the allignment of other parts of the design. I have attached some pictures of the problem on my current project which is a large design on fleece. That is backed with 1 layer of iron on/tear away and 2 layers of medium weight cutaway, light tensions and 500 SPM The digitising software I use is Si…

Hello, I have just bought a very expensive machine but I am too afraid to turn it on, too afraid my design is not good enough and I don't want to wreck anything on my first attempt. unlike printing - I fear that just continually trying until I get it right will wreck my machine. My first attempt is a hat, can someone possibly give me some advice just to ease my fear? I am assuming I Don't need pull comp. & need a medium underlay - but I don't understand how to make the underlay match the black hat and still have the color of the design on the front. and for the text - it seems so small and I am scared about the right stitching. I ha…

I am digitizing a West Digitizing that is close to 18 inches wide by 16 inches high. Digitizing the whole thing, then break it down into top and bottom files the lower being what I would stitch out first, making the lower section about 12 in and the upper about 6 in, I will put markers in place. My problem is lining the top with the lower in the frame, getting the horizontal and even the vertical should be no problem as that can be achieves by moving the head, but the problem I can visualize is getting them horizontal without having to contlnually having to rehoop it as I am sure this cannot do the material any good. I'm not sure if I have explained this very well…

I'm working on making iron on patches to put on has that I am going to sell. I wanted to know if anyone has any recommendations for fabric and iron on adhesive. I bought some tactical fabric from my local sewing store and heat and bond ultra hold. My biggest questions are, will heat and bond ultra hold be pretty permanent and hold up well? Is there a better higher grade iron on adhesive I should use? Is there a particular brand of tactical fabric or type that would be best to use? any and all help would be greatly appreciate. Thank you!

I would like to thank Irina for her article on stitch length. I am new to digitizing and was having trouble visualizing what I was doing. I have sewn out 36 1 inch squares of fill and columns so I can see what I am doing.

I have to jazz up a Porm dress and the cut is of such a nature that I can't do any embroidery directly on the dress. I was thinking about nice floral free standing lace designs or something with vines, which I plan to brighten up with rhinestones, crystals and pearls. Any ideas or websites where I could find these designs would be much appreciated!!

Scarves and the woven wool, cashmere, pashwana etc. material are tough. Anyone have any suggestions on needles (ordering ball nose needles today) or backing? Or anything else? I'm trying different stitch densities and I'm finding I can cut a hole in the test scarf pretty easily with sharp needles. Although I did find the ability to cut holes an interesting decoration! Any thoughts on thread? I'm also using large stitch counts and getting the backing off the garment is impossible with tear-away, too many small pieces. Cut-away is not an option. Will stuff like Solvy do me any good? Or is it going to be one mess of clumped goo? I have waffle and some other backings around…

I have a Viking Topaz 50 Embroidery machine. Thanks so much for providing so many VP4 embroidery designs. I don't find that on any other website I have researched! My question is about machine embroidery felting. I recently bought a felting kit. My Premier Plus Ultra software has a few built in felting designs, but not many. Does anyone know where I can find more felting designs? Also, do you know what types of designs do best for Machine felting? I would like to eventually digitize or convert my designs but right now I know very little about it. I haven't found much on the internet yet about machine embroidery felting. Thanks in advance for your help!
