I get an error message frequently, not only when outputting to file, but also when saving file.  It will usually work after 2 or 3 tries.

If you are using version 14, this error can occur when trying to output a design to the machine through a cable.  This software uses Microsoft SQL Server Express when sending a design to the machine.  Microsoft SQL Server Express is automatically installed with DG/ML.  Once possible cause of this error is that the Microsoft SQL Server Express service is not running.  To check this select Start-Programs-Control Panel.  Then select Administrative Tools and Services.  Here you will see a list of all of the services running.  Look for the service SQL Server (SQL Express).

If you look on the line for SQL Server (SQL Express), you should see a column that reads "Started".   See the image below:

If you do not see the word started, double click on the line and click the Start button.  

After this, try to send the design again.  

Let me know if this does not solve the problem or if you are using a version older than version 14.

I don't output to machines.  I have problems saving designs to hard drive as well as disk.

I am trying to "import" designs (saved as dst.) from my monogram wizard plus program. It will open in Tajima, allow me to correct and re-size but will not allow me to save to floppy. Please help!
