American Colonial designs

I wanted to know if anyone has a link to some designs that would portray American Colonial living, either people, buildings, activities etc. as well as designs that would portray American minute men, British Redcoats etc.   I'd like to put together an embroidered quilt using several vignettes of colonial times during the American revolution.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.   Thank you.
