sherry
Hi, I just bought an old Toyota AD820 (not A model). After switching on the power, there is nothing on the machine LCD display -except '_' on upper line left and red LED light gets on. None of the buttons respond. Nothing is written in user manual of (35 pages) about this trouble, nor any way to somehow 'reset' the software. i'm new, some questions I owuld like to ask is: The computer needs to be connected through serial port for enabling 820 to start ? Also Any thing else i must check ? Thanks. Quote Link to comment
nessa12
Did you try to connectthe computer and anything on the display? I think there is no correct communication between display and motherboard, its a technical problem. Quote Link to comment
sherry
Hi Thanks for the answer ... Yes, i tried with the computer connected, but same result. I agree with what you said, it must not have any direct relation. I think the electonic part isnt working ... Quote Link to comment

candace
I suggest just call a technician at your place and sort this matter out, it will cost you a bit but its better paying some bucks than taking loads of stress and tension. Quote Link to comment

eptdean
I have the same problem with my machine, it was fine pre Christmas but wouldn't work when I started back after the holiday. I cant earn any money at the moment so any advice about its cause or possible fixes would be most welcome 1 Quote Link to comment
