When we insert text into the document, when we export it to a DST file there is a long tail of thread (a running stitch) that throws off the entire sizing of the design. You cannot see it when it is in DSG format. For instance, if a 6 letter word is only a 3/4" tall and 4" wide, when we trace it, it shows that the design is 10" x 12". I tried manually fixing it, but it does not work. This poses a big problem.

Are you sure that you remember to order your "Start" and "End" point into the middle of the machine embroidery design before exporting? - I don?t know if that can be the problem.....but I know that if we forget this, the design can behave in many strange ways......also with the tracing......

 

You find the start/end point order- system through the headline "Stitch" on the top of the screen........it is not enough that you place your design in the middle on the screen.....
