nessa12
Hi, I was trying to use a no show cutaway. Was that fine? Its for a scarf which am making so will it get washed or something like that? Its a microfleece so its a really thinner soft fleece. Cheers Nessa Quote Link to comment
candace
Have a look at this before you start, - I would use a heavyweight water soluble, but you may well get away with cutaway - as long as it is strong enough to give all the support that is needed. I presume that the fleece is very stretchy so will need to be held firmly. http://www.emblibrary.com/EL/elproje...log=Elprojects Quote Link to comment

nessa12
Would a medium cut-away or tear-away work? I have those. (got them with the machine) I thought the thicker cut-away might feel stiff under the fleece. Does that stuff ball up and fall off after washing/drying? (I always think of blankets that get those "lint balls" that collect in the inside corners and of course you can get to them because they are inside the blanket. Quote Link to comment
candace
Some information on cut-away stabilizer - it won't act the way you want, so you'll need to carefully cut away which is not below the stitches or its going to be there always. Quote Link to comment

nessa12
One more thing to ask!! I should cut away stabilizer between words that is the "just" and the "dance" (just like space at bottom of "just" and top of "dance") Quote Link to comment
olive
Its up to you - the back of stitches will be showing or the scarf is backed with some more fabric? If its going to be hidden then its probably best to leave words 'connected' , but if the back will be visible then I would try to get rid of the stabilizer as much as possible. Quote Link to comment
