sherry
I cant go further on a project on my machine right now. The universal 16 needle which is in my machine at the moment, and everything is loosened up on the upper tension as well as the lower bobbin tension also is a bit looser, oiled, etc... and the Thread is also breaking repeatedly, I'm waiting for the new thread to get ordered than struggling with this more... anyone has any troubleshooting advice? denpopov
It might not be the thread, but the design. Does the design has a lot of tight stitches? Thicker is Metallic thread and not that flexible as other ones. Quote Link to comment
sherry
Thanks den!Yes, design is the part of this problem I think, but to tell you that I have also done a large hat and delt with the same thread breaks issue, but it was NOT such bad. That's the reason I changed needle to 16. Quote Link to comment
sherry
Ater THINKING ....I came to this decision that maybe I must leave out the stabilizer (tear away ) to stay away from any kind of rigidness??? Quote Link to comment
rosemary
The best thread is Madeira..... Quote Link to comment

sherry
Ha! Well, the entire hat will run with no problem! Seems the small thread is actually caught in the bobbin case. Quote Link to comment
