Hi everyone, I have a Brother NV800 Embroidery machine. I've been doing some topstitch experiments and run into some issues. As you can see in the attached photo, the original test (outlined in blue) with a 100/2 Polyester thread looks good. But when I used a 30 Thickness Cotton embroidery thread, I'm getting these weird results (outlined in red). The stitch width for both examples is 2mm. I tried adjusting the sewing speed to minimum for cotton, and even adjusted the tension, to no avail. The machine's instructions say I can't use a thread of 20 or thicker. I'm using the same thread for topstitch and bobbin. Any advice? Thanks!

Can someone please give me suggestions for stabilizer to use on dance leotards? They are 90% polyester / 10% spandex, and I'll be embroidering names on them. Thank you,

The embroidery design in rectangle in shape. The logo looks fine while sewing but when I take it out of the hoop it puckers around the edges. I have tried 2.5 cutaway. I have tried 1, 2, and 3 pieces. I have also tried to change the stitch direction. I have also tried polyester and rayon threads? Hooping is good and tight but not overly tight. The logo mostly puckers on the Dri fit polo material. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hi everyone, I am very confused. Last week technician came to service our embroidery machine which is a commercial one, its a Texmac 1501 machine. It had developed some issues in bobbin and tension settings. The previous owner had bought at least one starter pack, Madeira 1000M rayon viscose thread and we've been sewing using it. He recommended to stop using rayon because it creates havoc over the tension on the machine. Additionally, these spools aren't behaving correctly on my machine, causing thread breaks when the thread unwinds from the bottom of the cone. However, the colors are beautiful!! Plus I read on AllStitch Embroidery Supplies - Your Discount Embroidery Supply Source on the pros and cons of rayon vs. polyester thread and it looks like the victor was rayon. I'm thinking if you let me know what you use and your thoughts about this debate. Thanks in advance!!
