Does anyone have any suggestions as to why my thread looks loopy. I'm embroidering in-the-hoop candy cane holders and when I put the back on, the thread looks like it has loops in it. Am I using the wrong stabilizer? I'm using fleece for both sides of the candy cane and iron on stabilizer.

 

I made candy cane holders, used no show mesh which is a leave-in kind of stabilizer. I know to use tearaway as a suggestion but also try a permanent stabilizer.

There are many brands - and it must be available at any sewing store which carries all kinds of embroidery machines or embroidery designs and/or fabrics.

Floriani brand is a good one that even has it as an iron-on type which is very stable.  so i think this is a good choice for you as well.

There are many others too - I'm just familiar with Floriani brand as that is what my dealer carries.
