Sewing three-dimensional letters of the alphabet Three-dimensional letters are very easy to make if you have a sewing/sewing and embroidery machine. It requires very few expendables, a bit of your free time and a good mood. Sewing three-dimensional letters of the alphabet. Materials For the tutorial, I purchased a set of cute girly fabrics. It contained seven different patterns, of which I chose three, for a five-letter name. Besides fabrics, you’ll require threads, hand sewing and embroidery needles, soft padding material (polyester batting, Holofiber), and, naturally, the machine. Sewing three-dimensional letters of the alphabet. Embroidery The making of the embroidery design is a piece of cake even for beginners. Choose a font or create your own in your PE Design. Load the design into your embroidery machine, and hoop the stabilizer. Place your padding material (let’s say, 100 g/m2 polyester batting) on top of it. Next, place the outer fabric with its right side up. Hit the start button. While the machine is running, hold on to your fabric, pulling it just a little. You can also attach an eyelet for hanging. Finish the embroidery. Two parts of a letter can be embroidered in one go in a 200x300 mm hoop. In order to do that, copy your design and invert it, using your machine’s editor. Trim the embroidered letters around the contours with a 0.7 cm seam allowance. Now stitch them together as shown in this article (coming tomorrow!). Leave a 5 cm long opening for the stuffing. Having put your padding inside, sew the opening. You may ask the kids to help you, they’ll probably jump at the idea. This is the set of letters I made for a newborn baby. Many happy creations to you! Original text by Irina Lisitsa

Hi! I am looking at your awesome Dr. Seuss embroidery designs. One quick question: I notice that your alphabet only goes to the letter “Q”. Do you have letters “R” – “Z”? I need some of those letter to spell my grandson’s name. Thanks so much and I’ll look forward to hearing from you!

It is made of practical light grey knitted fabric and its left side is embellished with cute Winnie Pooh alphabet letter H embroidery design. It is the picture of little bear in well-known red t-shirt from famous cartoon. This small detail makes the cap looking interesting. The child wearing it will definitely like to see him or herself in the mirror. -
Hi there, I need help with recommendations for a digitizer who is expert at fonts. Not someone who will just chuck it through the software and indeed not the cheapest - rather someone who will take time and care to ensure the alphabets are best possible. I've had a few quotes so far, courtesy of googling, but they aren't interested in what fabric I'm using, what needle size and thread weight etc. I had a sample done by one who tried to send me the character done with satin stitch: The characters are 0.5" high and quite delicate so I would have though a running stitch would have been more appropriate (based on my limited amateur knowledge!) I did suggest this and had no response. I said I wished to use 60 weight thread and they said they digitize for a 40 weight. I am new to this and I want someone I can trust, who is going to look at density, the best stitch for the size and character type etc etc. Does anyone have any personal recommendations based on positive experiences, or is anyone reading this interested in quoting me? It's two different fonts, letters and numbers - 78 characters in total... It's for a product I sell, a gift item, currently hand embroidered and I wish to offer a machine embroidered alternative and therefore a faster alternative to my clients. But it has to be good quality! Thank you in advance.
