  1. I have been wanting to ask about getting a font with the knock down stitches attached to each letter so that when we write a name on fabric with a pile like towels or plush, that the knock down stitches will prevent them from disappearing into the fabric. I saw a photo and checked into it but the font did not include the knock down stitches . I listened to John Deer's video on Youtube about placing knock down stitches around the letters using Hatch 2, which I don't have. I also read that Hatch makes a font better than any other program, with perfect stitches, unlike my Embird which can be sloppy at times and leave gaps. So, with all the wonderful programs that you ha…

  2. Hello everyone, I’m new here and looking forward talking to other stitchers. I have an older Bernina 180, purchased new in 1998. I have added memory, but unable to add anymore. New designs need more memory than I have. Does anyone know where I can purchase older designs/CD’s. I include embroidered blocks in my quilts. I love crib/lap quilts. The designs I like are animal, flowers or whimsical. Happy Stitching to all.

I wanted to know if anyone has a link to some designs that would portray American Colonial living, either people, buildings, activities etc. as well as designs that would portray American minute men, British Redcoats etc. I'd like to put together an embroidered quilt using several vignettes of colonial times during the American revolution. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

  7. Hi folks, I am going to have some embroidery done to my hakama and I have some related questions. Should I use (a) my first name, (b) my family name, or (c) both? In Katakana or Kanji? There is no convention in my home dojo. Most people I know use their first names, others are using both names. In my case, there is nice kanji for my family name: kuroi (black). My current preferred option is to use both names techmantion, my family name as a kanji followed by my first name in katakana Is this a common choice? Thank's for any hints,

  11. I seem to be the only one asking for designs, but...there are no others who do such nice drawings as you are able to create. The hand is seen in many icons as a message of blessing. I would like to have just the drawing or outline of this hand for a 5x7 size hoop. I have really spent time looking for this but none are found. I would like to put it on a shirt with the words Bless us all, which I am able to do. Here are some pictures that show the hand in that position, I am sure you have seen it previously in Orthodox icons. Thanks for your continued help with designs. Linda V

  13. I have used two of the Mayan designs, in the free with purchase group of designs and would like to see if you would consider adding another to the group. I came across the glyph for cocoa/chocolate while reading about the Mayan culture. I was able to find a few pictures of it on these pages and saw that there is also a cross stitch design that is being put on a small bag of chocolates as a Christmas gift. I will add the pictures I found. Perhaps when you have time you could create one similar to those in the file here for us to use. Thank you. My account has not been updated since I have a new computer, still listing me as a newbie.

  15. I have seen a lot of hand embroidery designs lately that would be perfect for machine embroidery. Changes in trends has brought this about. I am also seeing more sublimation than embroidery when I do searches. This is going to overtake embroidery soon. I have a request, if it might be possible, to make machine embroidery designs of some of the hand sewn patterns. I have located some pictures of ones that are made into "dolls" but the designs and be used in any project, for shirts, handbags or pillows for friends with a few words added for personalization. Thank you for letting us ask for these special items. Linda V

  16. Hi there, Can you please let me know if you have digitised any of the ‘Guess how much I love you’ rabbit embroidery designs?? I have attached a few for your reference. If not, can you please advise cost of having any one of these digitised. Maybe Image3 or Image5? I have a customer who would like me to put one on a child’s blanket but my digitising is not good enough for this level of design. I am happy for you to share these embroidery designs if you do digitise them for sale. Thank you,

  17. Started by lindav,

I think it would be very nice to be able to use a design of Cosette to make a nice shirt rather than all the imprinted ones available. I prefer a more gentle look with a small design. A 4x4 and a 5x7 size hoop is what I have, any size for those would be perfect. The pictures are from the Victor Hugo book which is very old. Either the short version or the full length girl sweeping is amazing and I know you are capable of creating these. No background is needed. It is still running strong in theaters after 34 years. Thanks, Linda V

  19. Many years ago I used to purchase little mini chairs, or doll chairs that I came across. I will clean them up and paint if necessary. I made a pillow to go into the chair and write something special on it to make a really special gift that can sit as a reminder of your thought. Any writing can be put on it what ever event is occurring or whatever sentiment you wish to send. Here are a few I did, I did more but I did not take photos of all of them. I am sure the laser machines have some kind of small chair, this would be such a nice gift. I added a ribbon to tie onto the chair . The large one was for a wedding shower.

  20. Hi apologies for emailing but I'm unsure how to promote a new embroidery design collection. Could you look into Dr Who - very popular in England and it would be great to have your great quality embroidery designs.
