Mom has got a Husqvarana Platnium 955 E do you know about the machine?

Do you know about the machine. She bought it five years ago and its just now came out of the box. Its confusing, she does not know the format to order designs in. Thanks

These types of machines read only the VP3 format from D-card.

usually 2 preprogrammed cards come with this machine: one is alphabet set and another is sampler design set. These cards cant be overwritten.

The reader/writer box actually allows you to transfer designs from your computer to personal d-card which must be included with reader/writer kit.

I have just used HV software, which i purchased separately so that i easily convert various designs from different formats to VP3 as well as to write the designs to the d-card.

HV software needs a reader/writer box for it to operate.

 If you dont know to operate reader/writer box, you will be limited to purchasing the pre-programmed HV D-cards.

If your machine was purchased new, contact the store where you purchased to get training or support. HV retailers normally provide good support after the purchase.

I would want to try Wilcom True sizer its free or  buy Embird Studio as it will convert to any file you need.

How is the price of Happy as compared to Melco or King Star or might be Feiya?

Converting will be separate issue than transferring designs from you computer through reader/writer to the d-card for embroidery machine. HV reader/writer box doesn't come with the operating software. Does Embird has the required software to operate with d-card reader/writer candace?

The machine comes with a software, you can convert embroidery files firstly and save as or even sent to, just like it an external drive, your pc picks up reader/writer as a external drive.

That way the box for PE and older husqvarna's works.

I have 4D embroidery system and goes back as well as forth between the both, however I so not need the reader/writer. still I have the old one and my old husq #1 plus it is going bye bye. I will use these soft ware because I love the 4D for my fonts.

Thanks I talked to the dealer and he said that she has the reader writer box then she can copy in any format and it will turn it to the one she needs. I think she said it is VIP format though.

I viewed the site and got good info. Just that they do not have the 955E listed but spoke to dealer and what my mom has it should convert it to just any format she wants. Thank you for the time and the postings.

No software came with my machine. I had to separately purchase both d-card reader/writer and HV software program (it contains drivers for reader/writer). Additionally I purchased card reader/writer for my mom who has a Rose--of course, this machine uses different size cards. A personal d-card is in the reader/writer unit.

I believe HV maintains exclusive rights to their reader/writer unit drivers. Lucky the ones who receive free software to convert and support the reader/writer unit.
