Hi I'm fairly new to embroidery and have had my fair share of mistakes. I'm embroidering tee shirts which are 180gsm and polo shirts which are 220gsm. The polo shirt material is clearly thicker than the tee shirt material. I have a Brother Innov-is NV800e machine which has all sorts of tweaks such as tension, plate height etc etc. I tend to leave it as it is for everything I do and on occasion things happen that I can't explain other than maybe the machine should have been "tweaked" slightly between one cloth type and another. I also use both tear away and cut away stabiliser depending on how dense the embroidery is in places. Denser patterns will have the cut a…

I have a melco bravo embroidery machine and use Design Shop Pro digitizing software. How do I change stitch density and pull comp on designs I've downloaded? I go to properties, change density and it reverts back to original density.

I have a single head Tajima 1501 embroidery machine that I have been trying to adjust the tension on each needle to be close to the same for all. I have some needles that are butter smooth and constant, while others are close to the same value but very jerky. Then others are almost nonadjustable all together. I have 1 needle with no tension on any adjuster but still has a tension reading of 120 to 135. I need some advice as to what may be going on with some of my tensioners. I have traced all the spools and they are threaded right. Do you oil any of the parts on the path to the needle? I am not having any problems with sew outs but just want to make quality as good as p…

I just received an order for a graduating class for full zip hooded sweatshirts. the order calls for 3 separate embroidery sites, including the hood binder. my question is this: they asked what is the proper way to embroidery "Class of 2009" on the hood - should it face front so that you can read the embroidery when the hood is on OR facing backwards so that the embroidery can be read when the hood is down. The embroidery will be placed on the front edge of the hoodie and centered. Is there a right or wrong way?

I absolutely hate doing woven fabrics because it seems that no matter what I do, there is puckering. I'm beginning to feel that maybe the puckering is just an industry standard and I'm being way to picky. Is there someone who would be willing to to run a sample of one of my files on their embroidery machine using similar fabric, backing, etc that I have and let me know if they are getting the same type of puckering? I've spent literally 4 hours working on a stitch out sample trying to get rid of the puckering and I'm getting totally frustrated. I've switched needles, taped the hoop, traced the hoop outline before and after stitching to see if the fabric is moving (a…

Need some help please. When using a placement chart for a left-chest logo, are the measurements for the center of the item or the top of the embroidery design?

Hello everyone! I did something I never imagined would actually work: I made Contrado print my design on satin and it came out beautiful! Buuuut I tried to applicate the cut out satin textile with freehand quilting and I was not satisfied with the result. I am using the Bernina V6 Stitching Software and a Husquvarna Diamond deluxe and I also use the Silhouette Cameo Plotter. I read it was possible to cut out the cloth per Silhouette Cameo and then fit it in the digitized embroidery file. I guess I would have to stabilize the satin, since it is very, very flimsy and slippery. My prototype has another problem in the meantime: all the edges of the cloth are torn within …

Are there any suggestions on eliminating flagging when embroidering on flexfit type of hats? We bend the hat several times, clip the sides tight, press and smooth the front many times with our hands, and even tried no clips on the sides. Still have lots of flagging which then causes needle breaks and sometimes a bit off registration.

I am embroidering puff onto a baseball cap (Hawk Head) design. Using a tearaway stabilizer and 2mm puff. I am experiencing a problem with the final sew out where the design is pulling in (concave) the area of the design on the front of the hat. Get the same happening on other puffed designs also. Using a Pantogram 1501 single head machine. Looking for suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong. Ideas?

So i am using Wilcom and i tried the Photo Stich Add-On but it's not the same thing. On the photo stich from wilcom is using just one colour, where on this video the machine has 4 colours that uses to complete a perfect portrait. The machine will embroider four separate layers adding different details with each colour. In the video i saw that it uses a combination of cross and run stitches. PS. I attached more pics because i don't think i am allowed to post de youtube url. PS 2:If it's ok i can post the video URL so you can see better.

Hi there, I need help with recommendations for a digitizer who is expert at fonts. Not someone who will just chuck it through the software and indeed not the cheapest - rather someone who will take time and care to ensure the alphabets are best possible. I've had a few quotes so far, courtesy of googling, but they aren't interested in what fabric I'm using, what needle size and thread weight etc. I had a sample done by one who tried to send me the character done with satin stitch: The characters are 0.5" high and quite delicate so I would have though a running stitch would have been more appropriate (based on my limited amateur knowledge!) I did suggest this and …

I am sewing tackle twill split chest designs on Under Armor vests which have very thick seams going down the middle on either side of the buttons. When the machine tries to sew the kiss cut twill over the top of these seams, the thread won't go down or stay down and stay connected with the bobbin thread. This leaves patches of no stitching on the twill which means I have to stop the embroidery machine, back up and try again and again and again until it finally decides to catch a stitch or two. I have even tried sewing 2 stitches at a time, stopping it, and doing 2 more, etc. It is driving me CRAZY!!! Anybody got any hints for this??? Hirsch was no help. They said tr…

Awhile back....everything is blending during covid, but there was an article on digitizing using thick thread for high speed embroidery machines. I have experimented and know that using thicker thread requires less stitches and larger needles. Anyone else experimented and willing to share their settings or tutorial how to create designs using thicker thread? It can be a unique and different way to fill large designs using less stitches. I have included a pic. Many thanks in advance

Hello I am looking for someone (or a video) who could explain how to use a Toyota AD860 please. I have just bought 2 used but the company that sold me could not give me the explanations (except the mode of employment is not very clear) on the operation of this machine. It is an old model and therefore a little more complicated than the industrial news currently sold. Someone to help me please? thank's
