Sierra Embroidery software

We have a Tajima six head and run Sierra EO for digitizing. I have a floppy with a couple of designs on it that I can't open up. It's from when we first started in the business and had a Barudan FMC six head. I did not digitize these designs I can't open. Does anyone know how to open what I think is a Barudan embroidery design and use it on my Sierra embroidery office software? Barudan is not one of the options on my software. Any help is appreciated. Hi all, I have both version 9 and 11 installed and just recently updated 9 to the latest version, and now it shows up as my preference version to use, let's say if I just open up a embroidery design to look at outside of the program. (It automatically goes to the 9 version which I prefer right now). My question is, I am ready to install the update for 11, but don't want it to become my preferred program default. Is there a way I can keep it from doing this? Thanks for any help you can shed on this.

I've been having problems with the Sierra 11 version. Just a simple opening up of a .dst file will cause it to freeze up and all I get is a small cross-hatch cursor, so I cannot even close out of the program. I use Ctrl+Alt+Delete to close the program down. When I do get a file to open, (a .DSG I cannot get it to sew out in 3D. Does anyone else have these problems? Thanks for any input.

Has anyone figured our where the segment stitch count is in Sierra Era?

I'm trying to embroider a college name and logo on a sweatshirt like the ones you can buy on campus, or whatever. I thought there were instructions on how to use each font in the embroidery software, but can't seem to find it now. I want to use Letter DA font and have it look professional. I'm also interested in using the athletic bean and athletic outline for sweatshirts. I think these fonts involve an applique-type process. Where can I find out how to use these fonts and get the best results? Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

My Sierra embroidery software shows I can use two color block at 2.56" tall. I typed in the name HOLBROOK at 1.76" tall. The screen shows stitches missing (not filled) and when I stitch the name the stitches are missing (varied, spotty, not filled correctly) What is wrong? It defaults to satin which is what I want; changing to a fill stitch would be too many stitches. I shouldn't have to change this to a fill stitch when the parameters indicate 2.56".

Can anyone give me a step by step on how to make hoop templates.I have a 575 x 410 hoop and it is not listed in the standard hoop template i have .Thx

I have very little experience digitizing; but I have all the digitizing software. I have an embroidery file .DST that is a basic American flag. The flag has 13 rows of red then white stripes but at the end of each row there is a trim. I would like to remove the trims and continue stitching to the next row. The sequence is all white first and then the red rows.

How do I connect two areas of either a zigzag or pattern stitch with a straight stitch?

Hello to ALL! Does anyone know of a collection of embroidery designs that are in outline files instead of stitch files? I am familiar with Dakota and Great Notions but both are only stitch files. Does a collection exist? Thanks

Hi guys, Is anybody else having this issue? I'm working on a design and I go to add underlay and all of the fill stitching disappears. I tried resizing the embroidery design and everywhere I had done shading all of the fill underneath disappeared. This just started today. I did another design with some of the same features 2 days ago, and it worked just fine. I thought perhaps I was missing a release update, so I checked and yes, I was one behind and ran that, but the problem still exists! HELP!!!!!!

I am emb a small logo with text. I'm using Allegro font and the lettering needs to be3/8" high. I'm emb on very light wt Under Armour t-shirts. Does anyone know what the density and pull comp values should be? Where can I find the various values and defaults for these? If you can give me some pointers on how to make this lettering look good without driving myself crazy, any help would be appreciated. Thanks to all of you.

Hello. I am doing a very simple ( I hope) design that should have straight sides, a ruler. One side (the side with the increment lines) is a little shaky and I want to just move the stitches to be in alignment. In stitch mode, I grab a stitch and move it to where I want it. It does not stay there. It jumps back to where it was. Am I missing a step? Or is there a simple alignment tool that I can use to grab all the stitches and line them up? I can download the embroidery fonts but blended fonts don't show up. Do they come with the Sierra Embroidery Office 11?

I am trying to sew tackle twill #'s on a shirt. I am able to trace the number for setting but now i want to do a zig zag stitch and my version does not have an applique feature. How can I do this without that feature?

Today i confused. I first time decide using Fur Fill stitches in my digitizing.. And found problem. This is fill style of embroidery no have underlay? How fix this? My software is legal. May be this is bug? Who have experience, please help me.

I have an old dos system with many thousands of designs on it. I upgraded awhile back to version 11.40. I would like to transfer my embroidery designs to the new system while maintaining the capability to alter them. However when I download the kwk, pch, and ica files my Sierra wont recognize them. My computer says they are on the disk. How do I rebuild them on Stitch Era? Please help. If I just download a dst version I cant alter it as it saves it as a DST file not a DSG. Thanks for your help.

Which do you prefer and why? I am looking into getting one of them to use the vector art piece of the software and am wondering which to get.
