  1. There are several causes for breakage of the thread in an embroidery machine, normally it happens because of some causes such as the thread is too old or maybe there is some issue in the machine itself. If you are struggling to find the main solution to your problem so you are at the right place because in this blog we will discuss some common problems people are facing. 2. Because tastes differ, custom logo designs that appeal to one customer may not appeal to another. What matters is that the designer's logo samples appeal to you, that the designer is easy to work with and offers pricing options that fit your budget, and that you or your business owns the rights to the logo being created for you.

  3. I have a question about my current project, and all my internet searches are giving different answers. I'm embroidering a shirt, kind of a theme design with two main larger designs (front and back), a handprint on one shoulder (if I can pull that off) and then quotes all over the shirt, kind of at random. I have the first design on the front done, and I just used stretchy iron-on stabilizer for that, but I'm wondering if that kind of stuff will give the shirt an odd look and keep it from sitting nicely if I use it for the little quotes. Someone told me about dissolvable interfacing - does anyone have any experience with that? Do you think it'll be enough to keep the shirt…

  5. Can anyone recommend a product to use for machine embroidery to serve as the embroidery base that tears away from the applique cleanly? My end game is to sew or fuse finished appliques onto clothing items (that will be gently washed regularly). I have been using various materials as the base of my applique (with stabilizer on the bottom) when I do the machine embroidery. My issue is (after the machine embroidery is complete) I can not cut the material surrounding the applique close enough without hitting the border of the applique and fraying the threads (see deer applique picture). Is there a base material where you can embroider the design on it and then neatly …

  8. Hello, I am new to Photo Stitch and would like to know what stabilizers everyone uses to prevent distortion. I have read use cutaway fused to fabric, use nylon mesh fusible on the 90 degree and then the second one on the 45 degree, use SF 101 stabilizer by Pellon fused on the back - 2 layers if a lot of stitches with tearaway in hoop, expecially if large design and multi hooping. What do you all as experienced digitizers recommend? Thank You For Your Time Pam Newman

  9. I am new to machine embroidery and now need to buy some bobbin thread. There seems to be so many different types and I'm looking for help. I am currently using Brother 90wt polyester which isn't giving me any issues. I've seen a 150s 5,000m cotton/polyester which would be more cost effective and I wouldn't have to keep buying thread but I don't know what the 150s means or what weight it is. Help in deciding which thread to use would be brilliant.

  10. Hello I would like to provide me with embroidery thread shining but not metallic, rather those with the reflections that change according to the light. Where do you provide? knowing that I am Belgian, and here it is very difficult to find this kind of material. Someone could help me find it? It's almost beautiful days and my girls wanted a flashy look for this summer. I already bought on ebay in a US seller but the quality was not good, the wire broke all the time even on small pieces and with a special needle, but it was written in Chinese (or Japanese)on packaging,so I think it revendais bad quality. I want a good quality that takes good Thank you

Hello, I am in need of some help! I work for an artist studio that has been producing machine embroidery on linen. The embroidered areas are quite dense with stitches. We notice that when they are done with the embroidery process, a halo-like stain appears around the embroidered area. It looks like it could be an oil substance, or possibly wax? We have no clue what is happening. We can clean the stain off, but it often comes back. It seems as if if the linen is leaching oils from the thread. Sorry, hard to explain. With a little bit of research, I found that nylon thread has a lubricant coating. Could this explain the staining? Has anyone experienced this? …

  13. Hello! I recently purchased a Brother SE600 embroidery machine and am having issues with actually embroidering. I think I do not have the correct supplies, and need some guidance. I have 75/11 and 90/14 needles, 40W thread, using sketch paper as a stabilizer, and primarily want to embroider on jersey. Do I have the correct supplies? Everytime I attempt to embroider, thread is bunching together in the bobbin case and the machine says to rethread the upper threads. Please help! I want to get embroidering. JOe

  15. Started by LCG,

Hi, I downloaded a fantastic dragon from this site and tried to embroider it this evening. (I am very new to this). The fabric I used was a tweed/wool type fabric (not overly heavy). It started of brilliantly, but when the stitch needed the needle to go left to right for a largish section, the fabric in the hoop was getting looser and looser and all the stitches become distorted so I had to stop the machine. I tried it again on another fabric with a thin iron on stabilizer (which after reading your forum was probably too light weight), and again the fabric worked loose and it all went wrong. I wondered if anyone else has problems with the fabric working loose and…

  16. Hello, we have been screen printing for 5 years and are getting a single head embroidery machine in December. I spent the first 3 years of our screen printing experience testing different inks, mesh counts, etc and while it was great I also wasted a lot of money on the wrong supplies. For our embarkment in the embroidery world I would like to minimize the amount of wasted dollars and thought I would ask here what everyone suggests as far as brands and materials. We will be doing mostly hats and polos as that is what we currently outsource the most of but I am sure there will be other stuff that comes our way. I'm looking to start purchasing supplies over the next fe…

  17. The quality of machine embroidery is 99% dependent on compliance with the technology - the right choice of stabilizer and the right stabilization, the right choice of threads and design, etc. Information on all these issues will be collected here.

  19. Greetings -new guy, first post. I just purchased a Brother SE400 for small embroidery projects, read most of the manual and have been checking out some youtube tuts but I am still confused on what to use for backing. The machine came with a piece of felt with a backing material attached which I thought might be for embroidery but I can't fit the inner part of the hoop into the outer part with that thick material in it. I also purchased what I thought (was told by the girl at the local fabric store) was a backing material for embroidery but it's very, very thin and flimsy. It is a type that you iron to the fabric to be embroidered. Is that stuff okay to use? Th…

I am still an embroidery beginner and just upgraded to a Brother PE 770 from a Brother SE 400. I've mainly made felt appliquรฉs which are pretty easy and haven't required any special stabilizer/needle combos. I'm really trying to make sure I am using the right materials for the right applications now that I want to do more, but am struggling to find good information and see mixed advice when I just search online. The machine came with four 75/11 needles and one 90/14, but no instructions on when to use them or with what fabrics. I plan to do mostly embroidery on knit clothing like interlock or jersey and sometimes denim or fleece. After reading lots of advice and webs…

  24. Hi Guys, I am new to the forum from the UK, I must admit being new to the embroidery scene there is not much of a help section within google. The struggle within the community i think is stablizers. I find it very confusing as to what to use for simple things like Cotton T-shirts, Polyester T-shirts, Bibs, Baby grows, Wool etc.. While i find something in america its makes it hard looking in the UK. I currently want to be able to do beanie hats and baseball caps. not sure where to begin as when i google this it come up with nothing conclusive. Would anyone be so kinda as to give a newbie a helping hand this Christmas. …
