  1. Hi Guys i am having so much trouble with my lock stitches - if possible can i email someone a screen dump showing my problem then see if you know how to correct it. i have used the same technique for years with lock stitching, i recently purchased and 8 head and single head embroidery machine. all the sudden the locking stitches are now jumping out from the embroidery leaving little tails on everything. i am not sure wether this is a setting in the embroidery machine or in the digitizing. any response would be hugely appreciated!! as i am ripping my hair out! thanks

  2. hi there, is there a standard density satin stitched lettering should have when going over the top of a complex fill stitch? when i do say 5-6mm lettering on top of a complex fill, i usually have the density at -.5 to -.6, with the pull comp at approx .12 to .15 - it normally comes out looking great, except where the stain stitch letters have the same angle as the complex fill, causing the lettering to fall away and get lost in the complex fill.making these letters look thinner than the rest. and should there be an underlay on small text when going onto of a complex fill stitch?? i normally use a single line underlay stitch at approx length of 1. to 1.5. can an…

  3. Hi there, i have been digitizing for awhile now and sometimes i notice when i have digitized a rectangle or square complex fill with either a 45 or 315 degree angle stitch, it sews out crooked. does anyone out there know why this is?? the fabric? the underlay? the density? its getting quite frustrating as the rest of the design will look fantastic but the simple block behind the logo just lets the overall look of the logo down.any help would be hugley appreciated, thanks

  4. I have decreased the size of a embroidery design but when I select it to change the density the black downward arrow that's supposed to be in the upper right (looking at the computer) hand corner isn't there. How do I change the density and is my program malfunctioning? Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

  5. I am digitizing a college sport logo that includes a cowboy on horseback with a giant M in the middle of it. The cowboy and horse have no detail, it's just a filled in outline, one color. Should I put some type of border around the fill stitch area? It would have to be small (thin) so it's not really detectable so it would match their picture. I just think that a fill stitch would look better with a little border but I'm not sure what is the norm. What do you guys normally do with your fill stitch areas? Thanks,

  8. Have software six installed with security dongle---worked good. installed paintwork with its own dongle--works good. Problem: software six does NOT work now. Security check message is (:HASP SRM Run-time Environment [H0038]) ----- Rerun of install disk goes thru modify-reinstall or uninstall, then thru CorelDRAW and` ends with maintenance finished. Nothing--same security message.

  9. Hi, can anybody explain which angle in the stitches the Zigzag Angle setting is actually setting please? Example, with Zigzag set as sharp, 3mm width : at absolute density 0.40 mm, setting angle at zero sets the forward stitch at zero degrees to the perpendicular to the outline line, fine. Set the angle as 45 and the stitches sit at 45 degrees (or something close). It looks simple. But change absolute density to say 1.00mm and the actual resultant angle of the stitches increases significantly for the same 45 angle setting. The 27 setting appears to be closer to 45 degrees. With it set at angle of 27, change the density from 1.00mm to 1.01mm and the actual ang…

  10. I'm working on a design that's about 4 in wide. The smallest text is about .25 inches tail. When I try to create this small text, it comes out all messed up. No matter what type of font I use or if I create the stitches myself. Can anyone give me advice on how to obtain a decent quality stitch for small text?

  12. Help! I digitized a box with a check mark in it and it looks great but when I try to shrink it down, the check mark area goes berserk, like it's stitching from the right upper end of the check mark to the left end of the check mark without going down into the V of the check mark. Hopefully, I'm not confusing anyone too much. Anybody got a clue what it is doing? And how can I shrink this down without it going haywire?

  13. Hi guys I am a bit confused by so many versions of Wilcom embroidery software. Its frustrating and difficult to get the pricing - I want to know: What's the difference between various 'Levels' of Embroidery Studio E2? Which level is the best for any home based business. What's the price of various levels? Does this software appear in second hand market? If yes, what disadvantages are there of purchasing 2nd hand? Thanks.

  20. Do you have Wilcom Es 3 machine embroidery software to upgrade or is it a new purchase? There are 4 packages, lettering, Editing, DecoStudio and EmbroideryStudio. If you are serious thinking about machine embroidery digitizing Then Embroidery Studio is what you need. The Wilcom E3 version contains all the options to create perfect embroidery designs and logotypess and unlike E1.5 or 2 version (es2006) you don't need to spend a ton of cash to get creative digitizing features because they can be bought individually as and when you need them. If you sub your digitizing out then Editing will allow you to fix up mistakes and modify embroidery designs for different fabrics. …
