I'm extremely new to the embroidery world so excuse my lack of terminology and explanation. We hare started doing embroidery for local sports teams (high schools and middle schools) and they are repeatedly asking for their team name be put across the back/neck of their shirts right below the collar. These are microfiber type shirts and we aren't able to keep center when pressing the hoop down over the shirt resulting in off center name logo. What is a solution I can use to fix this. We need this ASAP.

Are there any suggestions on eliminating flagging when embroidering on flexfit type of hats? We bend the hat several times, clip the sides tight, press and smooth the front many times with our hands, and even tried no clips on the sides. Still have lots of flagging which then causes needle breaks and sometimes a bit off registration.

I am very new to embroidery. I've had my embroidery machine about 10 days. The first order I got was for 6 puffy vests, each with the company logo and the employee name. They are a light weight nylon fabric with polyfill. I've got the logo and company name worked out. But am having trouble with the individual names. The font I'm using is Baskerville. The letters are 14mm. I've tried several combinations of underlay and I've checked and set my tension on both bobbin and needle. I've also tried removing the underlay and adding my own. These are the names: Alisa Deliah Marie Paulette Tony I'm having particular problems with the T and the M. I'm attachin…

Hi For whatever reason I haven???t figured out the trick to embroidering on webbing. One of these days I???ll make it a priority. In the meantime I have a friend who wants 2 6 ft leads (black) with "bright??? embroidery that says ???We???re both adopted!??? In time for Christmas would be awesome, but I suspect shortly thereafter would be acceptable too. If you do this and are willing, please send pricing and contact info so I can forward to her. THANKS!!!

I have a embroidery logo that consistently has looping problems. It's a long skinny triangle. Does that make a difference? How can I fix it so that there aren't any loops?

I have never had this problem before with this garments, but we are sewing a simple text embroidery design on thin tee like fabric (about as thin as wick away) and holes keep popping up in between the letters and inside the openings of the e's and g's, for instance. The letters range from small, .25" to larger, 1". The small letters are sewing the best. The lettering is fat and sewn in a satin stitch. We have tried less stitches, until it got too sparse, less underlay. Different types of underlay. Different types of backing and combinations there of. Any suggestions?

Hi there, I am trying to embroider a rubber-type piece of "material". I really don't like to call it material, because it is about 1/8" thick. (For those that know about horse equipment, it is for a brow band) When I try to embroider it, the thread "sinks" into the piece and doesn't come back out. Hard to explain, but I know it can be done, we have a catalog from another vendor that does this. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you,

I am need of help ASAP. Order due tomorrow. We are sewing a design that is letters PRMS and had it custom digitized. Upon sewing on polo shirts inside the R and top part of the S it is breaking fabric down and causing a hole on both letters. I have changed the tension and backing but still doing it. We have sewn this same design on dress shirts with no problem. Digitizer is saying that it is not the file. Appreciate any suggestions anyone has. Thanks

Hello. Does anyone know the trick to getting embroidery on puffy foam to look professional? I have tried it using a satin stitch but when the excess foam is torn away, the edges of the stitches are no longer smooth. There are jagged edges of the foam left. I have even digitized the design twice with the second one having a little wider satin stitch to cover the first. Is there a different kind of foam other that the one home sewers use? Am I missing a step someplace? I'm sewing on a Tajima Neo II with rayon thread. I've tried it on canvas, caps, towels, Head bands. Same problem on each one. The other problem I am having is embroidering on head bands and wrist ba…

I am sewing tackle twill split chest designs on Under Armor vests which have very thick seams going down the middle on either side of the buttons. When the machine tries to sew the kiss cut twill over the top of these seams, the thread won't go down or stay down and stay connected with the bobbin thread. This leaves patches of no stitching on the twill which means I have to stop the embroidery machine, back up and try again and again and again until it finally decides to catch a stitch or two. I have even tried sewing 2 stitches at a time, stopping it, and doing 2 more, etc. It is driving me CRAZY!!! Anybody got any hints for this??? Hirsch was no help. They said tr…

Hi list. This took a minute but I have found my way. I need to know how to embroider with foam and the 3d fonts. I have tried it several ways and the foam pops through. The funny thing is when I didn't use any foam it looked great. I would like some foam on the hat, since that is what the customer wants. Any help and suggestions? Thank you in advance, this group has gotten me through my first year and I have nothing but gratitude for all of you. Thank you

I'm looking for something I call pennies. They are like an open on the sides shirt used in sports to identify teams or groups. We have a school group going skiing and we want them identified with their school name so they have to go over snowsuits. I have looked but not finding anything. Any ideas?

Scarves and the woven wool, cashmere, pashwana etc. material are tough. Anyone have any suggestions on needles (ordering ball nose needles today) or backing? Or anything else? I'm trying different stitch densities and I'm finding I can cut a hole in the test scarf pretty easily with sharp needles. Although I did find the ability to cut holes an interesting decoration! Any thoughts on thread? I'm also using large stitch counts and getting the backing off the garment is impossible with tear-away, too many small pieces. Cut-away is not an option. Will stuff like Solvy do me any good? Or is it going to be one mess of clumped goo? I have waffle and some other backings around…

I have to jazz up a Porm dress and the cut is of such a nature that I can't do any embroidery directly on the dress. I was thinking about nice floral free standing lace designs or something with vines, which I plan to brighten up with rhinestones, crystals and pearls. Any ideas or websites where I could find these designs would be much appreciated!!

The embroidery design in rectangle in shape. The logo looks fine while sewing but when I take it out of the hoop it puckers around the edges. I have tried 2.5 cutaway. I have tried 1, 2, and 3 pieces. I have also tried to change the stitch direction. I have also tried polyester and rayon threads? Hooping is good and tight but not overly tight. The logo mostly puckers on the Dri fit polo material. Any suggestions would be helpful.
