Hello, I have had my brother innovis 700e for about two years and apart from a few teething problems it has run pretty well. Until today I was on the 15th and final section of a design and it made a rattling noise. Then came up with The Safety Device has been activated. I have troubleshooted on the internet. Fully cleaned the bobbin area to see if there was any lint debris or loose thread. It all fine there however the hand wheel will not turn at all and I am still getting the message re the safety device. I'm a very sad bunny as this is my release at the moment from my caring job. We have three Janome MB4 embroidery machines in the office and they are frequently jamming, resulting in the . We are based in Northern Mozambique and our nearest technician is in Johannesburg and it is expensive to bring him up to fix the machines (>$1600). I want to learn how to do this myself. At the moment I have the needle alignment out on all machines. I have a service manual which shows me how to remove and replace parts - which is potentially very helpful. So, if I know the sequence of maintenance activities I need to do to resolve this issue, then I might be able to fix the machines myself using the service manual. Can anyone help by indicating…

I'm looking to purchase an sewing / embroidery machine that will mainly be used for embroidery. I want to embroidery size of about 3 inches square and I want to be able to load my own designs. I do not need a multitude of colours available. Having looked at the market I see there are many types to choose from so the question as to which one is difficult. I wouldn't say I have a budget because I'd prefer to pay enough to get the right one rather than try to be cheap and hinder the quality and facilities available. Can any offer me any advice or ask further questions to focus me in on a particular machine? Thanks in advance!

First of all I will offer my thanks for allowing me to participate in this forum. I am from Uruguay and I would like to know which machine is the best: the Janome MB 7 or the Happy Journey HCH 701. Both of them are for sale new in my country the Happy machine is US$1000 more expensive than the MB7. Which one do you recommend? Thanks for answering. Regards.

I have a Brother 4000D embroidery machine that has just been a pain. I finally got it to not break threads and so now it will not grab the bobbin thread when I change colors because it is cutting the embroidery thread too short. Has anyone had this issue? My dealer just lost their repair guy and is training another.

I am considering getting an affordable beginning embroidery machine in order to put our logo on beanies and caps. I am hoping you can share the realities of what is actually needed to do this, along with where i obtain them. ...an embroidery machine, hat loop? software to turn my design into a stitch able file for the machine? etc? I am still fairly new to all the embroidery with my machine. I have a Brother SE 400 and I have SewWhat Pro but just as a demo version currently but i do plan on possibly using it and purchasing the actual software. But I have been watching tutorials on making key fob chains. I just ordered snap button kit and i am excited to try it out. But my question is how and where can someone get cheap or even possibly free fonts to use with my brother machine in pes file. And when i did find some fonts i installed them but cannot find them on my laptop. Please help this newbie

I'm having a problem with my Tajima DC1206 embroidery machine. When sewing with needle 1, no problem. But when switching to...needle 7, the needle bar is not quite centered. It's off by an 1/8th" Does anybody know how to adjust this(calibrate the needle bar from left to right, by needle)?

I am having a tough time not stretching or splitting my fabric. I have tried 2 backings and a washable front. I have tried slowing the machine but I just can't get it. I am using a Brother SE1900 embroidery machine with 90wt bobbin and 40wt embroidery thread. Please help and thank you in advance.

Hello, I am brand new to machine embroidery, I received a Brother PE770 as a gift. I've been trying out my machine with some custom snowflake designs (I bought a couple and even tried to make my own) all are being embroidered with the PES file. Unfortunately every design is coming out badly. I'm using a light denim fabric with a medium weight stabilizer. I dealt with bobbin tension earlier and fixed that problem ok...but every single design with an underlay & fill is having what I understand to be "registration issues". I have tried moving my machine to a very stable surface, adding the stabilizer. If anyone would have a tip that may help I would really appreciate it…

I recently acquired a Singer Futura SEQS 6700 and I cannot figure out what the cover on the back, just over the label plate is for. It is about a quarter inch by three inch removable cover. Any ideas what this is for?

I recently got a Brother SE-400 and I love it! I make patches and I managed to make a few before I started to have issues. The original design is below. My first try went like this... (if you can't tell, it's bent like a bowl) This is what it looks like when I flattened it using my fingers... (there's still considerable puckering around the text) Then I tried it again, this time with a lower tension. It started out fine, but by the time it got to the yellow (the third color), it was puckering again. When I tried to do the black, it had puckered so bad the needle was only going down in one spot. Hello ladies and gentlemen. I am new to machine embroidery (I do not even have a machine yet) I am buying a Brother PE-770. I have to buy a computer, since all I have right now is a Chromebook. Can anyone tell me the minimum requirements I should look for in my new computer? What operating system and would it be better to have a laptop of a desktop? My computer budget is $450.
