  1. Our latest computer we use is a Gateway. Right off we realized that it only has USB ports (except for the port for the monitor). We were instructed (by Pulse) to purchase a Keyspan serial/usb adapter. This is installed, but I still cannot send my embroidery designs to my Tajima. When we purchased our embroidery machine & digitizing software several years ago, we paid for the LAN capability, but have never had any luck getting that to work either. We recently upgraded to the Version 14 Illustrator Extreme (from version Tajima 12 Illustrator). The only way I can embroidery is to put my design on a flash drive & put it into my Tajima and that works. What can I…

  2. Greetings all, I would like digitize and sew out a huge embroidery design - it will be over 82" square when complete. I am trying to break it up into manageable pieces for separate sew outs but so far without any luck. Is there a guide I can read up on this or has someone done a multi-hoop sewout before that could offer some pointers? The embroidery design is going onto a wholecloth quilt and features an outline of feather border and a large centerpiece motif. Each element is being digitized with maximum hoop size in mind and can be saved individually, but I cannot determine a reliable method for ensuring correct placement of each hoop set in order to guarantee proper …

  3. Under normal circumstances Tajima LAN based machines will automatically find the design spooler computer on a network using a technology known as multitasking. In some cases, where there is a large corporate network with a number of switches covering multiple locations, it may be difficult or impossible to use multitasking. Tajima has updated their firmware to allow a user to specify the address of the design spooler. This will allow the embroidery machine to connect with the embroidery design spooler without using multitasking. The attached document from Tajima outlines the process of defining the IP address of the design spooler.

  4. Failed to output the file.Could not copy the design file to the published embroidery design list.(6003). Not sure what I am missing.

  6. I know I have the capability to wind a bobbin on my embroidery machine so that the top and bottom threads match after sewing the item out. I swear I have seen instructions on here before, but of course, now that I need them I can't find them. The main question is how to embroidery thread the through the tension device on the back of the embroidery machine.

  7. Serial cables should not be longer than 75 feet (25 meters). Parallel cables should be no longer than 25 feet (8 meters)* There are alternatives for using serial based machines with longer lengths such as using a LAN to serial adapter. *Parallel machine connections are not officially supported and we can not guarantee this connection type will work correctly in all environments. Please contact your distributor for additional information.

  8. Does anyone know what causes a 211 error? We had a tech in who cleaned out the extra embroidery thread wraps stating this was the problem but the errors continue. The 211 error happens at leat 3 times each time a embroidery logo is stitched but doesn't happen on any other embroidery machines.

  9. I have used the embroidery features and am having a lot of fun. I would like to add fonts and am very confused as to what I need or how to do it. I do not have a Janome dealer close by. Can I simply download fonts onto a CF card or do I need some kind of embroidery software on my laptop? How basic (and inexpensive) can I go to start with? I've read alot on the forums and I have not seen this question. The former owner is not available for questions, either.

  11. Hi All, if anyone knows how to fix this issue? I have got a brother embroidery machine i.e. innovis 1500. I was doing embroidery on a cotton kind of fabric. There's nothing wrong with fabric, I have done on it before also. Everytime when the needle goes down to pick and tie thread from bobbin , it comes up being destroyed (becomes very thin as well as tangled). I have noticed that shoe for embroidery is not compeletly pressed down which causes the fabric to not being stable. Help it get fixed. Thanks

  17. I have an issue I've been facing for quite some time now. Occasionally, my needle misses the bobbin and causes me to have to re-thread the needle. This happens frequently, for example, I could be embroidering 1 color or multiple colors and when the machine cuts and moves to the next spot, it starts, but misses the bobbin and causes me to have to re-thread the needle. This is quite a nuisance especially when there's 300 shirts to run and it does it on every one! Sometimes the same spot, sometimes different spots. Any suggestions? Thanks.

  21. I need some serious help. I'm tired of outsourcing people to do patches with backing that can be applied by a heat press. I think I want to try the embroidery myself. Is there a good, simple to use embroidery machine that costs under $1000 that I could buy to mainly do baseball caps? Also, something that hooks up to a computer to import designs? Thanks. I always can count on this forum for answers/advices!

  23. I just picked up the Gunald Microfonts. I bought the thread and fine needles too. software is easy to use and sews nicely on my 12 needle Happy on my standard needles (75-11). But on the needle I set up with the 65-9 it suffers from thread breaks and kinda shreds the fine thread. I lowered the tension and it is better, but still a problem, cannot sew out a full line of text. Can I get some tips on sewing out fine text with fine thread? I'm practising on a woven apron using cutaway backing. thanks!'
